Passing knowledge on play from one generation to another, it's mostly done in a non formal and oral way. But, unfortunately, most of the time, there are no traces left and this play knowledge is not passed on to the next generations. The Archive for Public Play wants to keep teach of play knowledge trough an online platform that consist out of personal stories, photos and instruction from various contributions, received by an open call; everybody can participate. This archive is not dead and aims to reactivate outdoor play as a living thing in society. The archive wants to motivate outdoor play of the city for children, as well as for adults. The archive can be consulted online but it performs as well in the real world by exhibiting several selections, in printed form in the cities' public space and publications.
