Poohina Box

Behind the house where we lived there was a cycling path. What we used to do was to take an empty box from Lego and fill it with small particles - for instance little coins or little rocks - and then dog poo. We put all inside, glued the box tightly back together and wrapped it in gift-wrapping paper. Then we would put it on a place on the cycling path where we could see it, and hide ourselves. We would see if somebody would stop, take the package home, or unwrap it. A few times we saw another kid unwrap it in front of our eyes and that was very funny, because “ha-ha! That was dog poo!”. But then one day a neighbour - a woman who lived three houses from where I lived - took it. We knew her very well, we did not like her, and we did not like her son either. We saw her taking the package, look around, and put it in her basket and cycle to her home. We never knew what happened in the end, but that was better than anything else because we could have all these stories about how she kept it until the boy’s birthday and gave it as a birthday present, etc. And she would come out as a faker — end of story!
