When I was a child, me and my friend lived close to a forest so we usually played with different trees. We would decide which tree we liked the best and which one was our favourite. Then we built like a “hang out” place, an area next to the tree. We usually came there and had a kind of “fika” (coffee meeting) or just lying on the ground, looking up at the tree and leaves.
We were also hiding our treasures there. We had some golden jewellery, earings, that we were hiding there. We had found that jewellery once after our gymnastic class. We have found that in the changing room and we didn´t want anybody to know that we took that jewellery from the changing room so we left it at our treasure tree. It was like our own land, the secret area that nobody knew about except of us. We told each other that we weren’t allowed to tell our parents what kind of things we were hiding in our trees. But once I did tell, because I was anxious about that we were keeping treasures there. I had to tell my mum, because I felt so weird. I did and I destroyed our secret and our secret place.
